Lucy Torres finally reveals why daughter Juliana remained an unica hija after all these years

When the Gomez family walks all together, you can expect heads to turn. However, there is one little glitch-- the family looks a bit thin! After all these years, their only daughter Juliana remained an unica hija. That means all the love and attention was focused on her while growing up.


However, one can't help but wonder if she didn't grow up sad and all by her lonesome. That's why reporters kept on asking her parents why they never had another kid after Juliana.

Well, there's no need to worry about Juliana growing up deprived of companionship. Apparently, she was the one who never warmed up to the idea of having to share her parent's love and attention!

It's so heartwarming when you realize that her simple request was granted by her parents! Imagine they listened to their precious young girl even though they actually had plans of having more than one kid! Still, can anyone blame them if Juliana was so adorable in her conviction?

Apparently, when the beautiful lady was still a young girl, her mother would ask her to pray for a baby sister or baby brother. You know how she responded? This is how Lucy described the moment:

'When she was little, and we'd say our bedtime prayers together, I would ask her to help me pray for a baby brother or sister for her. She would listen intently, wide-eyed, nodding as if in agreement, then she would break into a smile and say gently but firmly, 'Mama, dog na lang.'

Wouldn't your heart just melt if you hear your unica hija say something like that? No worries, though, as Juliana never grew up lonely. As a matter of fact, Lucy said Juliana takes after her father.

"She's like her dad, e. She's really big on friends. I see the wisdom in that because through the years, the ones who have become like family to us are really from Richard's wide network of friends. He has friends from when he was small. He doesn't end friendships. I remember one time, maybe five years ago, Juliana said, 'Mama, 'di ba I'm an only child? But look at my banyo, I have 11 toothbrushes!' Because all her female friends sleep over. I love it when the house is filled with her friends, so they take over the kitchen and they bake."
