When a priest wrongs you, who do you run to? If a so-called man of God does you harm, what do you do? Who can you call? One can just imagine what this 16-year-old Philadelphian went through when she realized their parish priest could not practice what he preaced! Even worse, the priest was actually a Filipino.

In an ABS-CBN report, the priest was identified as Reverend Armand Garcia, a 49-year-old clergy assigned to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Philly. His own lawyer admitted that Garcia was indeed facing raps for taking advantage of the 16-year-old altar girl. It's terrible enough that the incident happened once, but Garcia actually did it repeatedly, including inside Garcia's own rectory!

Terrified, the 16-year-old kept the heavy secret for a year, and bore all the weight in silence. She only got the chance to speak up about it when she was already 17 years old, and Garcia has already been transferred to a different Church.

Witnesses claim that taking advantage of the poor girl wasn't the only wrongdoing that Garcia did. Apparently, he also invited the lass to intake alcohol and weed on various, separate occasions. Can you imagine that a so-called man of God could do all these things just to satisfy his worldly needs?

Authorities immediately raided Garcia's home and forced him to go on administrative leave. All we have to do now is wait to find out if it was an isolated incident with the 16-year-old, or if Garcia actually had other suspects.

This is also a reminder to all decent religious people not to turn a blind eye as to what happens inside Church walls. There is surely separation of Church and State, but even the clergy must be held accountable when they step a toe out of line.
