Andoy has faced many challenges in his life. His family was hit by the deadly typhoon Yolanda, and he was left by his wife shortly after that. Pressed for money to provide for the two children that were left to his care, Andoy resorted to selling their small house.

He then worked relentlessly as a fisherman to provide the children's needs. He was actually doing just that when he made the discovery of a lifetime.

While fishing one day, he spotted something familiar sitting in the bottom of the ocean. It wasn't familiar because he had seen one before. Instead, Andoy knew this item from his late father's stories!

It was a gigantic pearl, and Andoy gave his all to bring the pearl up to the surface, despite the thing weighing him down around 8 kilos!

Andoy was just so excited with his discovery! And could you blame him? He now has in his possession-- something that could turn life around for him and his two young ones! You could just imagine how many millions the simple fisherman could gain from this huge discovery!

He did what he had to do to earn enough fare to go to Manila, where he could get the pearl checked for legitimacy.

Since they had nowhere to go, Andoy and the kids found temporary shelter in Rizal Park, Manila, where they contented themselves as homeless people while waiting for an opportunity of a lifetime.

With the help of Jessica Soho's team, Andoy successfully had his pearl checked, and what do you know-- it's actually a legitimate porcelain clam shell! Andoy had it right-- this was no ordinary pearl. It actually could signal the start of the rest of their lives as a family!

But here's the caveat-- there aren't many people who would buy a pearl this big-- straight from the ocean! Andoy's hope is to break down the pearl to many different jewelries-- something that would take capital to do.

The simple fisherman is now appealing to viewers of the show-- to help him find a possible buyer for his pearl, so that their family could finally recover from the cloud of challenges that has hit them for the past how many years.
