Middle class people would never understand homelessness. It's degrading, humiliating, and demoralizing to be living in the streets, with all of your stuff and actions just out there for everyone to see and judge.

This is why most people would see the homeless and would rather walk a little faster, or avert their eyes. But Cesia Abigail, a cafe owner from Minnesota, saw a homeless man walk into his cafe and did not see danger. What she saw, instead, was the opportunity to change someone's life forever.

The homeless man actually walked into Cesia's cafe begging for spare change. The 25-year-old was reluctant to hand it over, since she wasn't really in the best of positions financially. As luck would have it, though, Cesia's kitchen was short-staffed that day.

First, she decided to probe the homeless man's past. She asked why he didn't have a job. Out of honesty, the homeless man chided to her that he has actually been nabbed for a number of felonies, including robbery and theft. Of course, not a lot of people would hire someone with such a huge red flag heaved atop his shoulder.

Again, Cesia looked past that. He asked the homeless if he wanted a job. Needless to say, the man was ecstatic to have one! It started with a simple two-hour shift that very day, but Cesia was apparently impressed with the man's working efficiency, so she has asked him to come back every single day for two-hour shifts (probably the maximum her small business can afford.)

And here's the best part of it: Cesia Abigail is now considering to make the homeless man a permanent staff in her kitchen!

He walked in the cafe for some food to get him through the day. Now, the homeless man actually walks out with the chance to turn his life around forever! Who knows, maybe this time next year he would have worked and saved enough to get himself a place! Wouldn't that be exciting?
