BABALA: Isang Grade 5 Student ang Sumakabilang Buhay Nang Dahil Lang sa School Project!

May this story serve as a warning to all parents never to leave their children unattended, even when they are simply working on a school project. Especially when they are working on something extraordinary, like a gadget they have to make for crafts or home economics class.

See, this turned out to be the bane of a Grade 5 student's existence. He was doing nothing more than being a good and industrious student in a school in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, when the unfortunate thing happened.

The child was developing his very own extension cord, with only the help of his grandfather. The sad thing is, he was left unattended with the project for a while, and the boy probably decided that he wanted to try if his project was already good to go.

However, when he plugged the cord, it el3ctr0cuted him. His parents suddenly heard a loud thud from his room, and when they got there, it was already too late. Doctors from the Bicol Medical Center were able to revive the boy's heart, but not the functions of his brain. His organs were fried when he plugged the extension cord, which wasn't quite ready to be used yet!

The boy's school is deflecting blame, saying they never said that the students can work on their projects at home. School officials said the directive was that the students will altogether work on their cords in school, where they will be given ample guidance and proper instructions.

Also, his teacher said the student didn't actually have to make an extension cord since he had already submitted a different project. While the young student could not be blamed for wanting to do his best in class, he really should have had more supervision as dabbling with electrical stuff is really not a thing for kids,
