In Michigan, a man life was taken down in front of a parrot. The culprit surely did not expect that the African Grey parrot they kept in their home would be his bane!

The parrot was never used in any of the official court proceedings, but its presence and "testimony" was able to convince the jury that the man's wife was actually the one who took his life away!

Think it's impossible that a parrot could be such a vital piece of evidence in a trial? Well, think again!

While authorities were surveying the scene where it happened, the parrot kept on repeating the words "Don't shoot!" mimicking the voice of the victim! This led to some unpleasant realizations that a fight had occurred in front of the parrot the night that the man lost his life.

The wife also tried to off herself in the same night, but it was a failed attempt.

The man's ex-wife, Christina Keller, who now owns the parrot named 'Bud' revealed that she thinks the parrot was simply repeating a conversation that happened on that fateful night.

The man's parents agreed as they have had previous encounters with the bird. They called it one of most foul-mouthed parrots ever, and confirmed that it picked up all sorts of stuff all the time.

Luckily this time, the parrot picked up on a very important piece of evidence proving that the guy's life was indeed taken by his own wife! After two long years of trials, the court convicted the woman for taking her husband's life away.
At least, the parrot was never forced to take the witness stand. We imagine such harsh proceedings would be too much for a gentle soul. The fact that the parrot was able to help in the trials at all is already a big help. Good job, Bud!
