Everybody loved Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres when she won the crown and everyone still loves her up to now!

That's why when we heard about her current health condition, we couldn't help but feel sad.

According to KAMI, the beauty queen made the distressing revelation using her social media accounts.

Former Miss Puerto Rico shared that she, in fact, was battling a type of the Big C, called "melanoma". This medical condition specifically targets the skin.

Dayanara tells in the video that she did not expect to be inflicted by this condition.

Furthermore, she shared that everything started with a big mole that continued growing.

“Today I have some sad news... I have been diagnosed with skin c*ncer "melanoma" from a big spot/mole I never paid attention to, even though it was new, it had been growing for years and had an uneven surface," she said.

Furthermore, she said that:

“My fiancé Louis had been begging me to have it checked and finally made an appointment himself... after a biopsy and a second surgery last Tuesday, the results are unfortunately, positive."
