When you see homeless people walking down the street, wandering alone hungry and dazed, you can't help but wonder what happened to his life. Where is his family? What happened to him? While this is a familiar thought, our constant reactions would probably be avoidance, pity, and disgust.

But we must understand that they were only subjected to extreme conditions of poverty and hardships that ultimately led them to the life they have now.

Just like Francisco Mancilla, Jr, whose photos have recently been viral because of the sorry state of his living condition.

In the photos uploaded to Facebook page Video Life, Francisco is seen eating what is probably leftovers on the pavement on a cold, rainy day.

One netizen shared a screenshot from a post of a supposed family member of Francisco. Flor Mancilla Manrilla, positively identified the homeless man as Francisco Mancilla, Jr, her father. 

According to Flor, they have been looking all over for him for quite some time now. Nobody knows where he is now, but hopefully he can be reunited with his family, soon.

This series of events prompted netizens to reflect on their current lives and to ultimately be thankful of their current situation. But this beg the question, who took the photos of the poor man? Was he ever asked what happened to him? Was his permission asked for his photos? Did the photographer help him in any way?

We can only speculate at this point.
