Parents take care of their children. It is their obligation to give a good life for the kids that they brought to this world.

But unfortunately, not all parents have this instinct to take care of their young.

Thankfully, most grandparents and some other relatives step in to do their jobs. That's what a family is for!

Just like this grandpa from China who was totally heartbroken after his grandson was sold by his own parents-- even after all this time that the grandfather was the one taking care of the kid.

Feng, this 55-year old man lives in the Fujian Province in China.

Being a good father, Feng gave his blessing to his son and fiance who wanted to get married. But just 8 months after their first child was born, Feng took over the needs of the baby boy. Why? Because the baby's parents, Feng's son and his wife, abandoned the poor child.

Well, the couple visited their child named Howie every so often, but never stayed for more than a day at a time. They would always leave before sundown. Because of his love for his grandson, Feng didn't mind the setup. He and Howie were having a great time, anyways.

But even that setup was about to be changed.

On January 14, 2018, Feng's son and daughter-in-law sneaked into his house and took the boy in the morning. However, contrary to their usual schedule, Howie wasn't home by sundown nor was his parents seen.

At first, Feng believed that the couple finally regained their senses and started doing their responsibility as Howie's parents.

But to Feng's dismay, he soon learned that the kid was taken to a childless couple in exchange for cash. Can you believe that?

Not long after, Feng decided to search for his missing grandson and finally filed for a police report last Christmas. His search was that long after finding the couple who "adopted" Howie just last January 16-- a year and so after his first "disappearance".

The couple was first adamant that Howie was their child, but after a DNA test, Feng proved that the child was in fact Howie, and therefore his grandson.

Feng was triumphant in reclaiming his grandson and is determined to sue his son for negligence. He's also hoping to obtain legal guardianship of Howie so that there will no longer be any threat to their "family".
