Hard work and perseverance brought this simple farmer's son from Bulacan to the Harvard University in the U.S.!

For many people, getting into an Ivy League school in the U.S. remains a lifelong dream. Getting into a prestigious school like Harvard Unviersity really takes talent, skill, and world-class intelligence, given that every year, hundreds and thousands of hopefuls wish to get admitted.

Sadly, a lot of people can afford a Harvard education, but just couldn't get that elusive admission letter!

Now, who would have thought that a simple farmer's son from Bulacan can actually achieve this feat? Romnick L. Blanco grew up in the rural part of Bulacan, where he woken from a young age to the hardships of being a farmer.

However, none of this stopped Romnick from dreaming, and dreaming high! He valued his education more than anything in the world, except maybe his family, whom he loves so much. He would cross rivers on a daily basis just so he wouldn't miss a single day of school!

Despite being poor, Romnick did his best and excelled in all his classes. This caught the attention of the GreenEarth Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps less-fortunate but deserving children of farmers get the education they need, and deserve.

From their humble abode in Bulacan, Romnick was sent by this foundation to attend the International School in Manila-- on full scholarship!

There, the hardworking boy graduated with top honors!

This earned him a spot in some of the world's finest educational institutions, like Dartmouth, Wesleyan, New York University, and many others.

In the end, though, Romnick chose to go the Harvard route.

You'd be amazed to find out that he did really graduate an Ivy Leaguer, in 2017. After all his years of perseverance, he was able to take a full year of rest after graduation-- just to explore the world!

However, just because he was already soaring high, doesn't mean he ever forgot his roots.

The young, impressive man actually planted over a thousand trees at his father's farm, securing not only his own future, but that of the generations that will succeed him!

Surely, Romnick's parents are extremely proud of him! May you continue to fly high but remain grounded, Romnick! You deserve everything you have now and you make the whole country burst with pride!
